Saturday, January 06, 2007 Walberg Announces Staff
Adrian's Daily Telegram reports today on Walberg's congressional staff choices in detail, and the Hillsdale Daily News gives us a brief summary of the names and positions. They print the following:
I wrote about Rick Baxter previously. Anyone know anything about the others on the list? Labels: Tim Walberg, Walberg Staff
Comments:
Joe Wicks is a Hillsdale College Grad. He ran for State Senate in the 24th District (Allegan/Barry/Eaton) in 2002. He had a posh upbringing in Saugatuck and went to Holland Christian HS. He is largely credited with the "coloring book" (multi-page door to door lit piece that called Walberg's opponents every name in the book.) that Walberg distributed in '04.
He's in for a rude awakening as a congressional chief of staff.
Marla Braun worked for former state Rep. Bob Gosselin until term-limits ended his "distinguished" career.
Ryan Boeskool worked for former Senator Ken Sikkema and the Michigan GOP somewhere along the line. Mary Ann Duffy was one of Rick Baxter's legislative assistants until he left office.
Keith Brown is former District Director for Nick Smith. He is well respected in the community and liked on both sides of the aisle. In my opinion, the only good hire so far.

I'm not at all suprised Baxter brought his staff with him. I've dealt with them in the past and I am not impressed. Wicks will get eaten alive in DC. He has noooo clue what he is in for out there....
