Thursday, May 10, 2007 Walberg District Stops, May 12 and 14
A quick heads up-- Congressman Walberg's office has announced district stops for Saturday, May 12 and Monday, May 14. I won't be at any of them, but I'd love to hear from anyone that can give me a first-hand account of anything that happens.
Go, meet Tim Walberg, and ask him the tough questions. Saturday, May 12 Labels: Tim Walberg
Comments:
Once again no stops west of US-127. BTW great blog and I would fomally like to committ myself to the fight to dump this guy.
The radio host who moonlights as a Walberg staffer has been at it again. He interviewed his boss today on the air. What a crock of crap. Since Walberg has blackballed the print media in Battle Creek, the only news source will be the radio and all we get are softball questions which appear to be inquisitive news gathering.
In regards to BC coverage, not sure what you call this: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070429/NEWS01/704290333
http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070429/NEWS01/704290330 And in regards to this US-127 deal, both of his district offices are west of US-127 and it looks like he spent last Saturday in Calhoun: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070503/NEWS01/705030330/1002/NEWS01 It's one thing to be opposed to somebody it's another thing to be in lalala-land and not seeing how it seems like he's all over the district. Agree or disagree it sure seems like he's been accessible and that's worrisome to me. Anyway, just my two cents... If you we're going to take him out we're going to have to grow up...
"grow up?" Who threw a temper tantrum when they read something they didn't like in the paper?
And, those articles in the Enquirer are fluff pieces--stale template stories you can read every year on any new elected official. Like the story about 12 hour days, I know people who work for STATE representatives who put in more than 12 hours a day. I am actually pretty unimpressed with Walberg's "tough" schedule, but I agree, Walberg is working the entire district with his stops. He is using that radio host to create connections in the Battle Creek area. I cannot believe David Nacht is subsidizing Walberg's political operation by advertising on that station. If he only knew how few people actually listen to the show, he would rethink his advertising.
Anyone who lives in Battle Creek knows Walberg isn't all over the district. He just showed up there after the paper pointed that out. And now he's back to ignoring us.
Walberg must be nervous if he's siccing his minions on this site.
"The radio host who moonlights as a Walberg staffer has been at it again."
It's actually the other way around. He is a Congressional staffer who does a part-time radio gig. Walberg (public funds) pays his check. This will eventually catch up with the House ethics committee, but ethics has been so dumbed down in this Congress it might not hit the radar soon.
I don't know why he does it here, but this is the second time this is happened. Maybe he is sincere about visiting his constituents, but his timing is awful. I received an automated voicemail from his office announcing his Saline visit for the 14th, but the voicemail was delivered Saturday afternoon the 12th! This, again as I complained here the last time, is too little advance notice for me to take off work and go see him here on his Saline visit.
Again, probably the only folks who could easily afford to see this were either retirees, clergy, or local Repub party yaks. Duck
I think he is avoiding areas that did not vote for him!!! Go figure! Makes a lot of sense to me, I dont know what you all think, but anywho, he needs to go somewhere. Why not for the people that are somewhat less educated. I know IRAQ!
