This isn't directly related to Sharon Renier (D) or Tim Walberg (R). Instead, it's just a general reason to vote for the Democratic candidate for Congress.
The Associated Press, via ABC News, reports on what the beginning of a Democratic Congress would look like (thanks to Chris Bowers at MyDD):
Tired of a Congress that only focuses on Terry Schiavo, gay marriage, and flag burning? Want real progress on the issues instead of a Congress whose only major accomplishment was the torture "compromise"? Democrats might not be able to accomplish all that in the first 100 hours, but I'll bet they can do it in the first 10 days, without a doubt. And if they can do that much good that quickly, imagine where our country could be a year from now.
